Tobacco use in television should have caution signs
to deter youths from using tobacco products. Many of the youth do not
understand the use of tobacco in media and its portrayal is unrealistic. The
use of tobacco in television is to make the movie more appealing.
Movies should have less use of tobacco and anti-tobacco scenes to deter people from using tobacco. For example, if a kid saw a superhero using tobacco in movies and television, then he/she will follow what the superhero does because he/she think it’s alright to do tobacco too. If a kid sees a superhero preventing the use of tobacco then the kid will be less likely to use tobacco. Therefore, there should be less use of tobacco in television and movies so it won't affect youth that do not understand the effects of tobacco.
To avoid further use of tobacco there should be warning ads in television. These precaution ads should be advertise at the beginning of television to help warn people about the use of tobacco. This will help warn people that the use of tobacco in movies is not be copied by anyone of any age. Hopefully, the youth will not use tobacco because of the anti-tobacco ads in media.
